Building Physical, Mental and Social Resilience Through Diving

Wyvern Resilience is a not-for-profit organisation run by Military & Emergency services veterans for our community.

We utilise dive training as a catalyst to facilitate physical, mental and social wellbeing and healthy living habits.

Dive Programs

We provide many of the dive courses certified by Scuba Diving International (SDI), from Scuba Discovery up to Assistant Instructor.

Check out our Calendar of Events page for dates or send us an expression of interest through our Contact page.

Our Scuba Discovery 1 day program provides a taste of what it is like to experience the underwater world and learn a bit more about yourself. The instructor will provide dive education and some physical and mental tools that you can use and practice during the activity. Participation in the program can be life changing.

The Open Water 3 day diver course provides a complete training program with an international diver qualification. The program is more mentally demanding, allowing you to push your boundaries while learning valuable resilience lessons both from the mentors but also from your own self-reflection.

The Advanced Adventure 2 day course is the next step for your dive education. Our instructors will provide instruction on five specialties, deep dive and underwater navigation are mandatory but the other three can be chosen by the participants. The Advanced Adventure course will provide you with an increased level of confidence and skill both in and out of the water.

Our instructors offer instruction in a number of SDI specialty courses such as wreck diver, underwater photography, search and recovery amongst many others. These courses allow you to specialise in the types of dives that interest you and increase the level of adventure.

Building A Strong Military & Emergency Services Veteran Community

After attending one of our dive programs you will be invited to connect with other veterans as a member of the Wanderers Dive Club.
Dive education is provided in conjunction with science-based wellness strategies to allow you to practice the principles in real-time under the mentorship of fellow veterans.

Support Us

Wyvern Resilience predominantly funds it’s programs through the support of private and institutional donors. We maximise every dollar by collaborating with other Ex-Service Organisations in our programs and theirs.
